Sequences
Here's what you need to know
Understanding Sequences
Definition: A sequence is a series of actions/scripts that are executed step by step, based on predefined conditions and rules.
Purpose: Automates follow-ups, calls, and other actions to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency.
Key Features:
- Set conditions to determine what script to use and when.
- Automate follow-up calls (e.g., redial after a voicemail).
- Customize the frequency and timing of calls using redialing rules.
Setting Up Sequences
Step 1: Create or Select a Sequence
- Navigate to the "Sequences" section of the outreach panel.
- Create a new sequence or select an existing one to modify.
Step 2: Add Scripts to the Sequence
- Add the first script to the sequence.
- Define when the script will be triggered (e.g., “0 days in the future” at 9:00 AM).
- If additional scripts are needed:
- Add the next script.
- Define the delay (e.g., 30 minutes after the previous step).
- Repeat this process for all desired scripts within the sequence.
Step 3: Set Conditions for the Sequence
- Use conditions to determine when the sequence applies.
- Example: Apply a sequence only for contacts with specific conditions like their last name starts with ‘W’
- Add multiple conditions if necessary for fine-tuned targeting.
Step 4: Customize Exit Conditions
Purpose: Each campaign includes redialing rules that define exit conditions. For example, if the first call results in a sale, the redialing rules will mark the task as resolved, preventing the sequence from moving to the next step. These conditions ensure that you don’t mistakenly follow up with a customer, such as calling them again 30 minutes after a sale has already been made. This allows for more accurate and efficient campaign management.
- Define exit conditions to stop the sequence when specific outcomes are met.
- Example: If the first call results in a sale, exit the sequence to avoid unnecessary follow-ups.
- Adjust these conditions as needed for different campaigns.
